Desperately want to see Tom Hardy being a grunting hunk chasing angry desert Nazis, a bald Charlie Theron on the run and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as a scantily clad slave maiden? Well don’t fear, the new action packed full length trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road is here.
The fourth instalment of the 80s classic sci-fi film has been in the offing for years, so the anticipation has had quite some time to build and the release date has even been brought forward to meet public demand.
Thankfully the latest trailer for George Miller’s post-apocalyptic Aussie outback flick doesn’t disappoint in terms car chases, fight scenes, explosions and non-stop crazy onscreen action. We see Tom bound-and-gagged and being chased through caves by a group of rabid zombies, telling viewers: 'In this wasteland I'm running from both the living...and the dead'.
He then bursts out through a door - which sees him stranded hundreds of feet above ground on a cliff edge before jumping off in a bid for freedom.
'I am a man reduced to one instinct – survival,' he adds taking the famous role over from the original Mad Max, Mel Gibson. The film, released in 1979, was a global blockbuster. It was followed up with Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior in 1981 and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome in 1985.
This time round we see loner Max (Tom Hardy) meeting Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman crossing the desert.
Victoria's Secret model Rosie plays one of five especially attractive scantily clad maidens who have been rounded up by the evil masked Immortan Joe - determined to escape his clutches for a better life with their skimpy outfits intact. Models Abbey Lee Kershaw and Megan Gale soot up to join Rosie as some of the beautiful forlorn women locked up in cages in the post-apocalyptic world.
George, who directed the first two Mad Max films and co-directed the third, returned to shoot the fourth installment and recently described Fury Road as a "western on wheels" - after watching this trailer we think reckon he has it spot on.
Catch Mad Max: Fury Road in cinemas from May 15.
