Tinder CEO Reveals Which Pictures Get The Most Matches

Choosing your Tinder pictures takes careful consideration. You want to look good, but not too good (that's intimidating) but you can't look like you've tried too hard (so lame) but then you've got to make a bit of effort.

After looking at data from their daily users (which stands at around 10 million) they found there was one way to encourage more people to swipe right. Speaking at the Advertising Week Europe conference in London Tinder’s CEO and founder, Sean Rad, it’s about ‘being yourself’, The Telegraphreports.

'Our data shows that when your photo expresses something about your interests - like it shows you skiing when you're a skier - or personality, you do better and get more matches. I always tell people 'be yourself'. If someone is being fake you can easily figure that out.’

He also said what doesn’t work. ‘Model-ly poses never work. Photos with friends are confusing. You have to swipe through the rest of the person's images to work out who they are," he said. ‘Head shots also don't work. It's those that display what you look like but also the environment you live in, and your interests, which do. An action can tell more than a thousand words.’

So if you're a big tennis fan, get that racket in your picture. Chess master? Show them that checkmate move. You’ll soon be raking in the swipes.
