After all, if you say it too soon you always run the risk of an awkward Ryan and Marissa 'thank you' moment.
However, if Love Island has taught us anything, it's that falling in love can happen quicker than you think (especially if you are trapped in a villa with some conspiring producers and a cash prize on the table). With Marcel declaring his love for Gabby after just a speedy few weeks, YouGov commissioned a survey to see when us Brits think it is acceptable to drop the L word - and the results are pretty insightful.
In the real world, just 3% of people have told someone they love them after a week, and only 13% have told them after a month.
The most popular time frame for falling in love comes around the three month mark - 22% stated that after three months they told their partner they loved them. This was followed by 14% of people who waited for six months.
Whereas a handful of people waited nine months (3%), a year (6%) and 2 years (2%).
