OK, so there's jelly, and then there's jelly you can make into a castle and then get drunk on. Alright, so genius Grant Thompson – creator of YouTube channel King Of Random, and creator of a really great jelly Lego recipe – doesn't specify vodka should be used, but it wouldn't be hard to take his creation from 'cool edible Lego' to 'cool edible legoooh I'm battered'.
Here's the visual how-to (we recommend just popping a bit of vodka in there to liven things up)
Here's the wordy recipe, originally published in the Metro:
You'll need:
1/2 cup of very cold water
1/4 cup of corn syrup
2 packets of unflavoured gelatin
1 pack (85g) of jelly
You’ll also need a Lego ice cube tray (if you can’t be bothered to make your own).
How to:
Put the corn syrup into the cold water and stir until it’s fully dissolved.
Then pour the mix into a pan but don’t turn on the heat just yet.
Add both packs of gelatin and then the powdered jelly. Stir until all the gelatin is mixed in.
Set the stove to a medium/low heat for around 5-10 mins and stir the mix every minute or two. When the gelatin is completely liquified, the syrup is ready for pouring into the moulds.
Leave to cool for five hours.
Start building/eating.
If there's a more perfect party addition for your mate who used to play with Lego (or you, because you used to play with Lego) we've yet to find it. Please tweet us your attempts, the more hilariously bad, the better.
