Top people at ad agencies get paid loads. They get paid so much that it's hard to stay friends with them because all their socialising takes place in places you can't afford.
With Japan being a very well-off country, presumably their ad people get paid loads too. So how the hecking heck did this advert for a town called Shibishu and their eel farming manage to get past these super duper highly paid people?
The ad, made to inform the people of Japan that Shibishu, a city located in the far south of the island that it's dead good at eel farming and also really ethical with it too, features a girl who lives in a swimming pool but PLOT TWIST, she's really an eel.
Let's take a look.
In the ad, the girl kicks things off by saying 'feed me'. She then proceeds to get cosy in a tent, do some swimming, eat a sandwich, nap by a fire... it's all very lovely.
But then. Oh dear. She says 'goodbye', jumps off a diving board and turns into an eel and swims away. The next shot is some eels sizzling on a barbecue.
This whole time guys, the girl was the eel, and she was being fattened up.
People are so not impressed by the advert. Which has now been pulled. They likened it to the girl being 'kidnapped and locked up'.
An official from the city said 'We're aware some people were offended.'
Thanks city guy. Thanks so much.
