Along with the new Bitmoji update, Snapchat sneakily added another update we’re currently obsessing with. Introducing the filter that lets you draw on your face. Snapchat spoke to Tech Insiderand told them this was the first fully customizable lens within the app, which is pretty big news.
I mean, who doesn’t love drawing on their own face? Well, now you can do that without scrubbing at your skin till it’s red raw at 7.34am on a Monday morning. What fantastic news. This is how you can draw anything on your own face from Pokemon to beards.
Where is the new Snapchat update?
If you click your way through to the lens (the dog one, the rainbow puke etc), the new lens is situated right next to the face swap – so riiiiight near the end.
How do I use the new Snapchat update?
All you have to do is draw on your face. Easy, right? In the same way you would write with the pen tool, just draw on your face. All over your face. In and around your face.
But couldn’t I do this before, what’s different to this?
You could essentially draw on your face with the pen tool BUT what it didn’t do before was use a tracking system to map your face movements in real time.
What is this face movement tracking magic?
This means whatever you draw will move as you move your face. So if you decide to draw a beard on your face, whenever you move the beard will move with you. What magical sorcery.
There you have it – we’d love to see what you’re drawing when you’re procrastinating from doing any work. Snapchat us at: thedebrief.
