At around 2.05pm each day, Team Debrief takes a Snapchat break. And by Snapchat break I mean we send each other snapchats of our faces with whatever filter’s that day has to offer, even though we all sit opposite each other. Lame I know, but it’s highly entertaining, and it’s about to get more so.
Snapchat have secretly taken over the 3D photo app, Seene (which you may know as Obvious Engineering) a few months ago, according to TechCrunch. What is Seene you ask? Well, it’s an app that allows you to take photographs of anything on your smartphone in a 3D photo format.
So, being the forward-thinking social company that they are, Snapchat have decided to up their game and take over the world of 3D filters. Picture this: you’re snapping away at your own face as you walk down the street, dog filter on. But instead of keeping it 2D, you switch things up, scan your face and voila your face, with a dog filter, in 3-bloody-D. Things could even go down the virtual reality route, which Snapchat is rumored to be exploring. The big guys at Snapchat are yet to comment, but if these rumors are true you might not see any more news stories on The Debrief, we’ll be too busy snapping our faces in 3D and sending each other weird virtual reality videos, sorry.
