Thanks to a brand new update, your Snapchat account is about to get a lot more emoji-nal.
In case you didn’t know, the mobile app lets users send videos and pictures to their friends, which then disappear after 10 seconds. Snapchatters can already add emojis to jazz up their broadcasts, but until now, the colourful icons have always remained stationary in video posts. So, if you fancied adding a shocked face to a clip of you reacting to some big news (because, I mean, isn’t that how everyone shares major life events now?), the open-mouth emoji would just sit slightly awkwardly on your post as the drama unfolds in the background.
Until now, that is. Snapchat has just announced that it will be rolling out brand new emoji stickers which can be attached to objects, moving, rotating and scaling as they move in the video. And if there are a whole gang of you featuring in a Snapchat, worry not, because you’ll be able to stick emojis on multiple faces and objects within one video - so if one of you is feeling ‘sad face’ while the others are more ‘heart eye,’ that’s no problem. You can even add a zooming plane emoji to fly around your followers’ phone screens.
Don’t get too excited if you’re an Apple diehard, though, as this update is currently only available for Android phones, - although an iOS version is reportedly in the works.
Anyone else feeling really, really old?
