Inside The Serpentine Summer Party With Alexa, Suki And More

The Annual Serpentine Summer Party never disappoints and this year was no exception. Well-heeled guests flocked to Hyde Park to enjoy a balmy evening filled with high-fashion, art and dance-inducing music. Christopher Kane hosted the event along with Alexa Chung and many guests were sporting his wares for the evening.

Alexa, who was dressed by Christopher, of course, gossiped with Lara Stone before heading off to find her Glastonbury party pals. Speaking of which, Poppy Delevingne told us she was actually feeling rather fresh after a couple of days of r&r at The Pig and talked us through her festival wardrobe. ‘I feel like Glastonbury isn’t as fashion focused as other festivals, it’s not like Coachella. I get there and just want to get stuck in and have fun, rather than think about what I’m wearing. This year I was just in all black!’ Poppy also revealed how she’s planning to chop off her locks after being bored with her white blonde hair. ‘I had to dye it for work but I’m struggling with the roots now, I want it back to normal but my husband wants me to cut it all off and go for a bob.’

Suki Waterhouse made a grand entrance in a plunging mint gown by Valentino, arriving with sister Immy and BFF Poppy Jamie in tow. We also spied Donna Air dancing up a storm in the private DJ room 'the Fun Palace' while outside Spandau Ballet took to the stage to belt out their classic songs. Kate Hudson made a brief appearance as did Karlie Kloss, sadly without Kendall and Gigi in tow- they'd opted for a quiet dinner in London instead. A slim James Corden took to the dancefloor showing off some questionable dance moves in the process as he enjoyed a night out with wife Julia. After a quick cigarette Mark Ronson spun some hits as the sun ducked down behind the impressive art installation created by Spanish duo José Selgas and Lucía Cano. A perfect summer’s evening in London.
