Ryanair Trolled BA Over This Weekend's IT Issue

Most of us know all too well the trauma of an airport fuck up. Missed flights, delays, an entire computer system crashing, just the usual really. In the week that saw Heathrow described as ‘the angriest place I’ve ever been’, we see the ultimate Twitter reaction courtesy of budget giants, Ryanair. In a hilarious (and vaguely year 4 style reaction), Ryanair have taken it upon themselves to troll British Airways on their recent computer glitch.

Over 75,000 customers were affected by the BA issue, which saw all flights cancelled from both Heathrow and Gatwick on Saturday. People were left stranded and without flight information for hours, but all of this airport misery was apparently a cracking excuse for the Ryanair PR team to get involved…

It all started with them retweeting a customer praising them then, you know, it was a Bank Holiday, they obviously felt a bit brave and sent the obligatory smug GIF, the internet alternative of them gleefully skipping round the office.

For their final tweet, they literally just screengrabbed everyone’s favourite Little Britain sketch, summing up all of the weekends IT problems with the oh-so-appropriate ‘computer says no’.

Some Twitter users didn’t see the funny side and were unhappy that the company with 'THE worst customer service known to man' (as one Twitter user put it) dared to have a sense of humour. Okay, so their #ShouldHaveFlownRyanair, is kind of ironic since most of us know the inevitable pain of being charged for everything except breathing when we do, but who are we kidding, it’s funny.
