The time is finally here folks! After several false alarms yesterday, this morning the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, at 6am, in the early stages of labour.
The royal couple arrived at the hospital by car and her husband, Prince William, is by her side at the Lindo Wing.
A press release from Kensington Palace said 'Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour. The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.'

Seeing as it is her second child it could be a faster labour, as second births are traditionally quicker. Prince George was born at 4.24pm after a 10 hour labour, weighing 8lbs 6oz.
Although we don't know if the couple are expecting a boy or a girl,Prince Charles has said he is hoping for a girl. Prince Harry also said that he would love to see his brother William "cope with that" if a neice arrived.

It's believed that little Prince George is being looked after by granny and grandpa Middleton, waiting at Kensington Palace. The royal couple previously said they will decide on the day whether George visits his new brother or sister at the hospital.
