As if we needed more depressing news today, an £890-a-month app existed for the rich kids of Instagram. Did you just drop whatever you were holding? Us too.

The Rich Kids photo-sharing app fittingly called, ‘Rich Kids,’ is an app for incredibly spenny people to share their incredibly spenny lives on social media. Because apparently Instagram isn’t enough anymore and they need a new toy to play with to prove their worth or how lavish their lifestyle is.

Inspired by the Instagram account with the same name the app promises to help users ‘discover and be inspired by the real rich and famous.’ BRB just throwing up in my mouth. If we wanted to be inspired by rich kids flaunting their Mercedes Benz we could just watch an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians on E! for free. Or better still, check out Kylie Jenner’s Snapchat after a birthday – some kind of expensive car will be thrown in there, right?

According to The Memo, around 25, 000 people had already signed up for the app before Apple banned it for being ‘inappropriate.’ The creators of Rich Kids released a statement expressing that they didn’t break any Apple guidelines, it was simply a decision of Apple’s review team to delete it from the app store.

I’m all for gloating a little on social media, what would Instagram be without spreading a little #holiday spam or boasting when someone buys you a great gift afterall? But putting up a paywall to flush out the fake millionaires is next level exclusion, not to mention these photos are already available on Instagram. We'll leave this one to the real millionaires who feel like sharing their wealth all over social media. And also because we haven't got a spare £890, anyway.
