Indecisive people the world over will be able to appreciate the thought that one husband-to-be put into his proposal.
Model Dennis Brown proposed to teacher girlfriend Atara Dallas with not one, but six different engagement rings. ‘I didn’t win #6 rings like @jumpman23 [Michael Jordan] but I won at life with her, so she deserves #6 Rings to choose from’ Brown captioned a picture of him down on one knee presenting the rings to his now fiancé.
Dennis’ proposal has since gone viral, he’s been featured in publications including The Sun, New York Post and Business Insider, plus he's started making T-Shirts based on the proposal story.
And what of his Instagram proposal picture? It has over seven thousand likes at the time of writing.
But getting the perfect Instagram proposal shot doesn’t come easy (or cheap). Dennis enlisted the help of a ‘cast of vendors’ in his own words, including; event planning a styling firm Theme It, published wedding photographer Nate Veal, floral and event stylists St Germain Events, event draping service Just By Design and clothes by Theme It and Rasools Menswear.
While some husbands-to-be choose a picturesque spot to propose (remember Paris Hilton’s staged snowy mountain engagement pics? Or Meghan and Harry’s majestic engagement announcement in Kensington Palace’s sunken garden?) Dennis chose a backdrop with a personalised message which read: ‘Today, on your special day I had the pleasure of putting a smile on your face all day.
‘For there is no greater gift that I could think to give you.
‘A woman, whose heart is full of love and devotion to me, a woman whose loyalty to all those she loves stands unmatched, a woman whose generosity and willingness to help others around her flourish knows no depths.’
So which one did she pick? The teardrop of course.
