Okay everyone, shut up about Pokemon Go for a second, because we need to have a talk about Prisma. Have you ever wondered what your face would look like as a work of art? No, we’ve never fantasised about a family portrait with Prince Harry either. You totally can now though.
Prisma is a new photo editing app which uses neural networks and AI to transform your pictures into stylised paintings. Why would you want to stick Clarendon on your bikini selfie when you could turn yourself into Edvard Munch’s The Scream? Instagram pictures of your candlelit bath would definitely look better with the added drama of Hokusai’s The Wave.
Unfortunately, Prisma’s only available on iOS at the moment, but it’s set to come to Android later this month, with a video update arriving soon, too. Now you can relish the feeling of artistic achievement without having to study for years at art school, invest in expensive materials, or, er, having any creative talent. Nude pics just got so much more interesting.
