Instagram Up Their Emoji Game! You Can Now Use Emojis In Hashtags

Instagram are making our emoji habit even worse, as from today you can now include emojis in a hashtag, meaning you can search for the most used emojis. Hashtag fist bump. Hashtag salsa dancer. Hashtag heart eyes.

You can hashtag all emojis except for the aubergine - because Instagram is clever and know this is the universal emoji for penis.

Ever wondered how your most-used keyboard compares to everybody elses'? Instagram have also revealed the ten most popular emojis. In the top spot we have the cry laugh emoji, followed by the heart eyes and the kissing face. Also in the top ten is the two pink hearts, the clapping hands, the kiss and the cry face. No salsa dancer? No poodle? See below for the top 10 (from left to right).

Our friends over at Instagram have also worked out which stars are the most prolific emoji users. The number one emoji-er is Gisele Bundchen, followed by Alessandra Ambrosio, Paris Hilton, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Olivia Palermo who are all in the top five.

Stars also fluent in emoji are Demi Lovato, Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel, Karlie Kloss, Beyonce and Madonna.
