A treehouse cabin in Atlanta, Georgia is officially the world’s most popular Airbnb, receiving over 300,000 page views from wanderlusting users each month and appearing on the wishlists of over 147,000.
The property in question is described on its listing page as a ‘suite of three beautifully furnished rooms set amongst the trees,’ providing an ‘intimate, simple and calming retreat for two people.’
The three rooms are connected by rope bridges, decked out in fairy lights to make for a particularly Instagram-friendly vista come nightfall. Inside, each is furnished with a Pinterest-esque selection of antiques, with a view overlooking an acre of forest.
With a setting as idyllic as this, it might come as a shock to learn that the treehouse is located not in a pastoral wonderland, but in the heart of Atlanta. As the listing puts it, ‘What could be better than falling asleep in the trees and waking up to birds singing around you – all within the city limits?’ What isn’t remotely surprising, however, is the fact that the property has attracted the attention of numerous magazine features and TV spots.
If you’re looking to make a reservation in this most popular of Airbnbs, you’re going to have to be prepared to wait until at least next year, with booking currently open for dates in March, April and May of 2018…
