A One Direction superfan who slept through an ENTIRE gig of theirs has some happy news in the way of a ticket to their final UK show at the Metro Radio Arena in Manchester.
Lacey Yorston, 7, was pretty excited to see 1D play at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, but upon arrival, she fell asleep. For 15 hours straight.
Her mum Ashley told* The Sun*: 'I am totally gutted for her. She got the tickets for her sixth birthday the year before and she’d been so looking forward to it.'
'But she was just too tired to stay awake, every few weeks she’s going into these massive sleeps and nothing wakes her, even the music didn’t when the concert started.'
'People were looking and must have thought "What on earth’s going on?" I was hoping she’d wake up at some point but she didn’t, she missed it all and didn’t even wake up in the taxi on the way home.'
Lacey's mystery sleep condition means that she misses out on school because she can't get into a deep sleep until 5am, no matter how many sweet and slow One Direction songs she listens to. And then, sporadically, she'll sleep for over half a day at a time.
Fingers crossed she'll stay awake long enough to see 1D again! After all, with the boys' split coming soon, this could be her last opportunity to see them perform live. And maybe she'll want to reserve all her deep sleeping for the heartache the break-up will cause...
