I’m not one for conspiracies, but there’s something about full moons that gets people going. Even doctors, who bow at the altar of science, are said to believe that the presence of a full moon brings more patients to A&E. While no one believes the tales of werewolves and witches, apparently full moons make us all...well, crazy. The root ‘lune’ in lunatic isn’t there by chance.
Perhaps you don’t feel noticeably more maniacal each month, but some studies claim that we sleep distinctly worse00754-9){href='http://www.cell.com/current-biology/abstract/S0960-9822(13)00754-9' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'} when the moon is big and bright.
