Statistics from Breast Cancer Care show that in the UK: 1 in 8 women will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime, it is still the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women under 40, and every year around 5,000 women under the age of 45 are diagnosed with breast cancer.

Creative agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky London has invented a new way to remind young people to check their boobs for potentially important changes. They have linked up with the breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel, who want us all to stand the best possible chance of surviving breast cancer by getting to know our boobs.

The BoobSoapacts as a physical reminder to check your breasts when using the soap in the shower or bath.

Each scented BoobSoap is designed to last 30 days, and when it runs out you're reminded to check your boobs again in the shower. The three available scents include Violet Blossom, Lavender Hills and Rose Buds.

Every box comes with a checking card highlighting signs and symptoms to be aware of and aims to make the process of checking your boobs regularly a little simpler.

Martins Miller, creative at CP+B, said: ‘We knew early detection is key in the battle against breast cancer and figured something like BoobSoap could have a genuinely important role to play, whilst also adding a dash of fun and gorgeousness into the equation.’

The Marketing Manager of CoppaFeel, Zoe Roll added: ‘It’s fantastic that CP+B are committed to raising awareness for such an important cause. CoppaFeel is here to educate young people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage boob checking on a regular basis so that more people feel empowered to speak to their GP if anything changes. We always appreciate innovative ways to spread our message - and BoobSoap definitely falls into that category.’
