Cups of tea, brollies and craft-making from Mulberry were the order of the day at the annual BAFTA LA tea party at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. The frightfully British do – to honour all our home-grown Globes nominees – was held on one of the rainiest days LA has ever seen!
‘It’s like the Brits have brought the weather,’ Rosamund Pike quipped to us. But of course it didn’t dampen the spirits and everyone – including Cara Delevingne and Cressida Bonas – had a jolly fabulous time.
Although Cara – who looked utterly incredible in a Mulberry leather frock – told us, or croaked at us, that she had already lost her voice. Not good ahead of Sunday's Golden Globes party marathon.
Cressida Bonas was undoubtedly the girl of the moment, turning more heads when she walked into the room than Keira Knightley or even Rosamund Pike. And she really is quite the party-girl, having a hoot working the room with all the Hollywood head honchos.
Over at the Mulberry craft table – where guests could make their own personalised leather cuffs – Ethan Hawke and Cara D got well into it, with Ethan exclaiming loudly how much he was enjoying making his bracelet.
Eddie Redmayne seemed to get all star-struck upon seeing US comedien, Steve Correll, and was even seen blowing him a kiss across the ballroom.
Keira Knightley turned up looking very neatly pregnant, but did her best to avoid her ex, Jamie Dornan, who was as swoonsome and handsome as ever.
James Corden was on fine form on his second day in his new home and was raving about the brilliance of Britain to everyone who would listen. Bravo to that!
