We've seen some serious male hairvolution happening this decade. Rewind a few years and the men of Hollywood brought the beard back with avengeance - there was barely a clean-shaven face to be seen at the 2013 Oscars - and now that we've maybe, possibly reached peak beard (sorry!), the man bun is the male grooming trend that's going nowhere fast. According to a new report from Google Trends - it's only set to grow in popularity. Hold tight, short hair fans. But ours isn't the only era in which male grooming went to niche lengths, as a new video in the 100 Years Of Beauty series proves.
The latest production by Cut Videos showcases 100 years of male facial hair, decade by decade. Modelled by the very handsome Samel Orson, it reminds us of male grooming norms and trends from the 1910s to now. It's fair to say Samuel looks pretty handsome throughout, but it does highlight just how different a guy can look with short back and sides to when he's rocking Dave Grohl esque shaggy locks and a beard.
