It’s not every day that a convicted criminal looks really sexy, but much of the man-fancying world sat with their mouths agape when the mugshot of Jeremy Meeks did the rounds. Arrested on suspicion of firearms offences, his photo was taken – his mugshot, mind – by
. They then uploaded the photo to Facebook, because that sort of thing is allowed in America (they do it to all of the people they take mugshots of, not just the pretty ones) and Meeks’s beautiful face and steely blue stare went viral.
Women and men around the world were incredibly excited to look at him, posting all sorts of comments under the photo, which has now been liked on the police site 101,000 times.
After that first wave of perving subsided, a lot of people wondered if Meeks would be offered a modelling contract.

But now – he’s in prison, he was found guilty of firearms possession and sentenced to 27 months in prison – he’s been signed to an actual modelling agency.
Yep, using the actual mugshot photo of him (they’ve made it black and white, classier that way) on its website, Los Angeles model agency White Cross Management has signed him up so that he’ll have an actual job when he leaves prison.
He told ABC News: ‘I never thought that everyone in the world would recognise me for my looks, so I feel extremely blessed and very thankful.’
His agent, Jim Jordan, said: ‘A sea of opportunities await him with modelling agencies around the world, endorsement deals and reality show interests.’
Reality shows? Surely he’s not that trashy…
