In tattoo news this week Miley Cyrus has got a new tattoo of her Gran’s face, whilst Kelly Osbourne has started to have some of hers removed. Miley shared a picture of her new body art – an image of Loretta Finley – on Twitter after visiting the studio of well-known American artist Kat Von D.

This portrait adds to Miley’s already impressive collection of tats which include LOVE on the inside of her ear lobe, a dream catcher on her ribs and a Theodore Rosevelt quote on her right arm. However, whilst Miley’s ink addiction shows no sign of stopping, one celeb is less keen on hers - Kelly Osbourne posted a video of herself undertaking a laser removal session on one of her arm pieces.

Kelly has previously spoken out about her inkings saying that for her they were a form of self harming. ‘When I was younger I really do think that tattoos were my way of self-harming because I really knew it would upset my mum and dad,’ she said, ‘I was miserable and I just went and got all these tattoos and I don't know why. One of them is a keyboard and I don't even know how to play a piano.’

Indeed, it’s that very piano that Kelly has begun to work on getting removed. In 2010 she revealed that she wasn’t looking forward to the process, saying, ‘Some still have a special meaning, like the matching ones my brother Jack and I have of each other's names, but I now feel like some were a mistake. [Getting them removed] will take several months, and while I'm not looking forward to the pain, I've heard it hurts less than getting the tattoo. I hope so.'
