Miley Cyrus Brands Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood Video “Revenge Violence”

Miley Cyrus knows what it's like to be critiqued for controversial choreography - tongue baring and twerking became her schtick after her now infamous VMAs performance in 2013 - but she's not afraid to call it like she sees it when it comes to her fellow pop stars' performances. In Marie Claire US's September issue she talks about her bugbears with Taylor Swift's Bad Blood video and the "violence revenge" it portrays.

Miley told the magazine: “I don’t get the violence revenge thing. That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my titties out? I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns.”

Bad Blood is nominated for a Video of The Year VMA, which Miley won for Wrecking Ball in 2014. Featuring cameos from Taylor's crew of famous friends as superheroes, it sees her take on a former friend (played by Selena Gomez) in a revenge mission. The song is rumoured to be about the 25-year-old's fued with Katy Perry.

In the interview Miley also aired her grievances with other double standards in the music industry. “There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it,” she said. “Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he’s cool. I do it and I’m a druggie whore."

Though she insisted she doesn't “really stress too much” about what the public say about her. Namely, as she insists “There’s nothing left to catch me doing. You want to hack my e-mail so you can find my nude pictures? I’ll just f******g put them up.”
