McDonalds Launches Premium Burger Range

McDonalds fans rejoice! Your hangover/drunk food is about to go premium. With competition from the likes of Five Guys, Honest Burger and ShakeShack, McDonalds is launching a new range of premium burgers developed alongside Michelin-star chefs to try and up the meaty ante.

This comes after reports saying McDonalds is losing its way a bit because it’s a) over-complicating the menu and b) ignoring health-conscious customers – it’s been attempting to survive on boozed-up customers alone.

‘At McDonald’s we are committed to listening to our customers and evolving our menu to offer something for everyone,’ said Duncan Cruttenden, the food development director of McDonalds UK. ‘When the chef council started to develop this new premium offering, we worked with a brief generated by our customers – they told us they wanted thicker beef patties and high quality ingredients, freshly prepared.

‘We’ve crafted a range that is a truly exciting permanent addition to our menu – every product has to earn a place and our customers have told us the signature collection has done just that.’

The new range will have the biggest patty McDonalds has ever created, costs less than a fiver, and maybe some of them will look like Liam Hemsworth or give you qualitative advice on how to budget each month. Who knows.

What we do know is that McDonalds can’t go under, because we would have nowhere to go when we’re hanging – and it also still does the best cheeseburger in town. Simple. Classic. Traditional.

We hope it doesn’t reinvent itself too much, because it’ll just confuse everyone even more than the menu does already.
