Being the daughter of the President of The United States does have some benefits and Malia Obama appears to have utilised her impressive contacts, by bagging herself a dream summer internship.
The 17-year-old was spotted on the set of HBO hit Girls in Brooklyn last week, sparking rumours she might be making a cameo, but it seems she’s just interning there for the summer.
Malia reportedly got the job through Lena Dunham and has been keeping busying delivering coffee to the cast and the crew, as well as running other errands. Can you imagine landing that gig?
‘She’s a fan, and she mentioned that to Lena [Dunham] when she came to the White House,’ a source told* US Weekly*. ‘It’s a bit of a trial thing for her. They’ve known each other and discussed for a while. Lena and her get along great.’
Malia will no doubt become best friends with Lena, go on to meet Taylor, join in their crew and become firmly entrenched in the A-list girl group and all before she’s even started college.
This isn’t Malia’s first job in TV either. Last summer she bagged a gig working on Halle Berry’s show Extant.
And if that wasn’t enough it’s been reported that Malia also has a fashion internship this summer too.
