The Adam & Eve in Homerton is hosting a four day extravaganza celebrating the best in bar snacks (think pork scratchings, bao buns, scotch eggs) and craft beer with live music and DJs.
The Big Egg Hunt At Pop Brixton
For an Easter Sunday with a difference head down to Pop Brixton. The hub of independent shops and restaurants is hosting what they’re calling ‘the wildest Easter Egg hunt in South London’. During the daytime the family friendly event will also involve magicians, street performers, face painters and craft activities for children and adults alike, whereas when evening falls, Midnight Riot Records will take over with an after party.
David Hockney At Tate Britain
If you are yet to make it to this blockbuster show, the long weekend is the perfect opportunity. Celebrating Hockney’s colourful 60 year career, the extensive exhibition showcases everything from his early drawings and photography to iconic paintings such as Bigger Splash, and more recent iPad creations and video installations. If you’re feeling fancy, make a day of it with lunch in the stunning Rex Whistler restaurant - on weekends they’re currently serving up a Hockney inspired three-course menu.
Urban Festival At Southbank Centre
Southbank’s annual Urban Festival conveniently falls over Easter weekend this year. Celebrating art and artists inspired by the city, the festival line-up includes breakdancing battles, dance residencies, workshops, free events and parties showcasing the best in street culture.
