Since Kristen Stewart has been dating visual effects producer Alicia Cargile media oulets have been fast to ask her to define her sexuality. Now, speaking to Nylon as part of her cover interview she's shut down labels and explained why she thinks "you should just do your thing" without being defined by the parameters society assumes are the norm.
When asked by the US publication if she was “ready right now to make any big pronouncements about her sexuality?” She simply replied “Google me. I’m not hiding.”
Kristen then explained why she doesn't feel the need to make a public declaration about her sexuality or to define herself by it: “If you feel like you really want to define yourself, and you have the ability to articulate those parameters and that in itself defines you, then do it. But I am an actress, man. I live in the f***ing ambiguity of this life and I love it.
"I don’t feel like it would be true for me to be like, ‘I’m coming out!’ No, I do a job. Until I decide that I’m starting a foundation or that I have some perspective or opinion that other people should be receiving…I don’t. I’m just a kid making movies.”
The 25-year-old went on to explain that she thinks that the pressure put on people to define their sexuality is slowly easing up and that "in three or four years, there are going to be a whole lot more people who don’t think it’s necessary to figure out if you’re gay or straight. It’s like, just do your thing.”
Kristen was also asked about whether she is still in touch with ex and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, whom she dated until 2012. "That's not something I would ever talk to the fucking public about - that's crazy," she said.
