Kim Kardashian On The Kimye Love Story: ‘I Made The First Move’

Romeo and Juliet, Rose and Jack off of Titanic, Peter Andre and Katie Price - there have been some pretty spectacular love stories through the ages but none have been greater than that of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Their love affair and resulting marriage has been well documented but now Kim has spoken out about when the couple first met and how their romance unfolded. Kimye first worked together on one of the rapper's music videos and Kim said that there was always an attraction: 'When I first met [Kanye], we worked on a project together and there was definitely a spark, but we were in other relationships and we kept our distance'

Admitting that the pair stayed in touch afterwards Kim revealed that it was her who made the first move after the breakdown of her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries which ended in November 2011: 'We stayed in touch here and there and then when he wasn't in relationships, you know, it's just our timing would always not really coincide. I think it was six months after I was newly single in like 2012, I was like why not? Like, what am I waiting for?'

Kim was forced to make a move after Kanye failed to contact her: 'I thought he was going to call me as soon as he knew that I was single again.He didn't, and so I called him and I said, 'Hello? I thought you were at least going to call me and say 'I told you so,' something?' And then - he's always been a good friend to me, like, we've always been there for each other - then he invited me to a fashion show of his in Paris and I went, and then the magic happened.'

Kim also admitted that she and Kanye are still trying to concieve a sibling for their daughter North. The star has previously revealed that the pair are struggling to get pregnant for the second time but she says: 'We're just hoping that it's sooner than later.'
