She's one of the top models in the world and recently landed a lucrative campaign with Calvin Klein. But, despite her famous family the road to success has not been an easy one for Kendall Jenner.
In a new interview with V magazine the 19-year-old revealed that she struggled to get people to take her seriously at the beginning of her career: “You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back,” she said.
It has previously been reported that Kendall - who looked stunning in the black and white shoot that accompanied the interview - was bullied for her reality TV heritage with other models feeling that the star is not deserving of her meteoric ride to fashion fame.
During the interview Kendall also took the chance to thank those who had helped her along the way. She said: “I am so grateful to Marc Jacobs, Riccardo Tisci, Karl Lagerfeld, and Katie Grand, who took a chance on me that first season and gave me an opportunity.”
