Kendall Jenner Banned Kim Kardashian From Fashion Shows Because She “Wanted The Attention”

Kendall Jenner made headlines last year when she banned her famous siblings from her catwalk show and now she's revealed that it was because she "wanted the attention."

The model has walked in shows for Chanel, Marc Jacobs and Givenchy, and although her half-sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney have been avid supporters of her foray into the fashion world, they haven’t been allowed to attend any of the catwalks.

Kendall explained to Allure: "As selfish as this sounds, I wanted the attention to be on me for five seconds rather than my family. If they were sitting front row, it would have been all about, 'Oh, Kim goes to Kendall's first fashion show!'

“I love Kim, but for a minute I wanted it to be like, 'OK, this is [Kendall's] thing - and she's taking it seriously.' "

The 19-year-old stuns on the cover of the magazine’s March issue with dramatic heavy eye make-up and in the accompanying spread, shot by Mario Testino, she gets friendly with a monkey and a hot male model.

She further divulges in the interview that she would never get a tattoo, saying: “I have a really weird thing about 'forever'. And my sister Kim always said, 'Don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley.'"

Despite her modelling success and the exposure she’s gained from 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians', Kendall insists she’s very shy: "I still have a hard time looking at someone when I'm talking to them, and I get nervous."

Like most of us, fourteen was a particularly ucomfortable age: "I had just started ninth grade when I got my acne, and I had braces. I wouldn't look people in the eye. It was not a good time for me, it just killed my self-esteem. I thought when I didn't look at someone, they couldn't see my face."

We’re sure Kendall’s self-esteem will soon be sky-high as she’s recently landed major campaigns for Karl Lagerfeldand Estee Lauder, and will debut her Topshop collection with sister Kylie, 17, this summer.
