British actress (and Grazia Daily style crush) Keira Knightley is set to make her Broadway debut as the lead in an adaption of Émile Zola's famous 1867 French novel, Thérèse Raquin. The play will open at the The Roundabout Theatre Company with previews on 1 October 2015 and the official opening is pencilled in for October 29.

Keira will play the lead, Thérèse Raquin, a young woman trapped in an unhappy marriage to her first cousin who then has an affair with one of her husband Camille's friends, Laurent. It has been described as a tale of “love, lust, betrayal and guilt." Keira may be a Broadway newbie, but she has already performed on the West End in The Misanthrope in 2009, and then in The Children’s Hour in 2011.

Keira is just the latest star to perform on Broadway - earlier this year it was announced that Emma Stone will be filling Liza Minnelli's jazz shoes and starring in Cabaret. Other A Lists who have performed on Broadway include Daniel Craig, Scarlett Johansson Katie Holmes and Daniel Radcliffe. Anyone else tempted to look up flights to New York for next October?
