The tragedy that occured over the weekend in Paris has been felt across the world, so Sky journalist Kay Burley decided to document this by Tweeting a picture of a dog with the caption 'sadness in its eyes'. Great reporting, Kay. Not trivialising anything at all.
Despite being a bit insensitive and a lot bonkers, the internet reacted in a way only the internet knows how – by remorselessly Tweeting her images of other things with eyes of sadness. Thanks, internet, for inadvertently granting us a bit of comic relief amid the seemingly constant stream of horror on our news feeds.
