Katy Perry has just thrown fuel to the fire that is her ongoing feud with Taylor Swift, by following an Instagram account named “Slutty Taylor Swift.”
Now, on closer inspection this feed isn’t what you might think - it’s a series of selfies and slogan photos by a girl named Dinah, who could be a friend of Katy’s. But whether this was a calculated move due to the girl’s profile name or a simple follow back, it’s a pretty provocative one given the two singers’ history.
Drama between the two dates back to 2014 when Katy allegedly hired three dancers for her Prismatic World Tour while they were already in the middle of touring with Taylor. In an interview with Rolling Stone Taylor then called out an unnamed singer, saying: “she basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”
Katy’s retort? Tweeting: “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…”
Then of course, there’s the widely rumoured suggestion that Taylor’s hit Bad Blood is about Katy. And recently, Katy was thought to make a jibe directed at Taylor when she posted a tweet in the wake of the Twitter spat between Nicki Minaj and the singer over VMA nominations.
"Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…" she wrote.
