Ok Kanye West's new video is quite possibly one of the cutest things we've ever seen. The singer has enlisted the help of North (who looks unbelievably adorable) to star in the video for Only One and it's made us fall in love with Kanye a little.
Not only is he smiling throughout the video - yep, smiling - the way he looks at his daughter literally makes our ovaries ache. It's quite frankly - beautiful. (And we'd be the first to admit that we haven't always been huge fans of Kanye. In fact, up until we saw this we always though he was a bit obnoxious really.)
The video is really simple – it’s just Kanye and North enjoying a walk together on a gloomy day in the countryside. While the weather might be miserable the pair couldn’t look happier, which just makes it just all the more lovely.
Kanye unveiled the video on the Ellen show and his new track is written as if his late mother is talking to him about how his life has turned out and how lucky he is to have North. Donda West died due to complications following cosmetic surgery in 2007.
One of the lines says: 'I talked to God about you. He said he’s sent you an angel look at all that he gave you. You asked for one and you’ve got two.’ No wonder the song made Kim cry.
While Kanye is providing vocals for the song, Paul McCartney is on the keyboard and Spike Lee directed the video. North can be seen inspecting her father's boots, holding his hand and watching him sing to her as he carries her. It’s all a bit too much.
We need to go and have a lie down.
