As we’re sure you’re aware, Justin Bieber will be making an appearance in the much-anticipated* Zoolander* sequel. Biebs has hinted that he’d like to branch out into both acting and fashion in the future, and a cameo in the catwalk comedy is surely a good start. Those controversial Calvin Klein ads certainly verify his bod is runway-ready!
The 'Boyfriend' singer, 21, has recently revealed a little insight to what his role in the blockbuster involves, “I start the movie off. I’m the first thing you see in the movie, which is pretty cool”. Justin goes on to say, “I do this whole, like, parkour sequence. I’ve never really done something like that before.”. Just to make that clear, parkour or ‘free running’ is the running about, jumping off things and bouncing off walls thing practiced by action movie-stars and pre-adolescent kids with too much energy. You’ve probably witnessed this in the car park of your local Sainsburys or if you've ever watched* Brick Mansions*.
On his co-star and* Zoolander* director, Ben Stiller, Bieber reveals he didn’t really expect Stiller to have much involvement but was pleasantly surprised, commenting “I didn’t expect Ben to be so hands on”. He adds, “It was really cool to have him direct me in such a non-threatening way. I wasn’t intimidated at all.”
We’re hardly surprised after a campaign for Calvin Klein, a Vogue shoot with Kendall Jenner and another for Men’s Health this year that Justin is hoping to extend his empire to fashion. However in a recent talk with Women’s Wear Daily the Baby artist reveals although “Fashion’s definitely really important,” he is biding his time and doesn’t believe he is ready to go the mile.
He refers to Kanye West, who’s birthday party he attended earlier this month, and his venture into the fashion field, saying “I know Kanye has been working on his stuff for years and failed and came back and tried again and failed. It’s about trial and error and I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet.”. Wise words! Looks as though Justin is sorted for work in the meantime, but we’re super-excited to see what he produces in the future.
