It seems Instagram finally understands the problems we face on a daily basis when stalking via social media.
Let’s set the scene here. You know when you want to show your mum a picture of the girl you used to go to school with? And you hand her your phone only for her to attempt to zoom in on her profile thus resulting in your heart jumping into your throat as she double taps the screen? Then your face drops as the sacred heart shaped button turns a disastrous shade of red?
Well, what if we told you that Instagram has listened to our struggles and launched a whole new feature designed to make our lives easier by enabling us to zoom in on photos? Yes, seriously.
With a simple ‘pinch to zoom’ motion, you can now navigate someone’s profile like there’s no tomorrow. Your boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend’s sister? Yes, you can finally have a fully-fledged, multi-dimensional stalk.
And following Instagram’s latest launch of Stories, it seems the app just keeps on getting better and better.
The global social media giant announced the recent feature via well, social media of course, stating that as of today’s new update you can now, ‘dive into an adorable puppy’s smile or into every detail of your friend’s new shirt’. Or, stalk your ex-boyfriends every move in higher definition.
Though we can’t help but think that now it’s parent friendly, your mum might just decide to create an account and we could be facing an imminent Facebook-esque family takeover anytime soon.
We feel an Instagram cull coming on…
