Ever since Instagram announced the launch of their new Stories feature back in August, we haven’t been able to put our phones down.
With the newfound ability to share images and videos in a slideshow effect format (without disturbing our lovingly curated Instagram feeds) we’ve never shared so many Sunday brunch snaps.
And we’re not alone, as over 100 million people share stories every day with over 18 million monthly users on Instagram in the UK alone. And we’re documenting everything, from our failed morning commute to the new Zara shoes we purchased last week.
Turns out the social media platform has just unveiled not one but three whole new features to Stories. And we cannot wait.
Firstly, as of today you can now add links to your Stories. Great news for everyone from budding musicians looking to build a following to readers wishing to access more content from their favourite magazine.
Secondly, you can now mention people in your Stories. Whether you’re wanting to show your friend your new Zara purchase or simply want to thank someone for your birthday present - sharing your Stories has never been easier.
Last but not least (and this is our favourite new feature) you can finally Boomerang directly from Instagram Stories. Gone are the days of having to transfer between apps trying to perfect a shot of your friend bobbing in and out of sculptures at an art exhibition.
Happy snapping!
