Our must-follow Instagram account of the week? Taylor Pemberton.
The 26 year-old American spent four days in North Korea, the military state said to be preparing for war with South Korea. And while trips to the country are closely monitored, he still managed to capture every day shots of life there - which he later posted to Instagram when he returned home.
The photos are a fascinating look at like in North Korea, with illuminating captions.
Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Taylor explained he was under many restrictions during his trip - but locals weren't really aware of what the internet was, or its "cultural magnitude".
"You are told when to wake up, when meals are available, and when your day is coming to an end," Taylor explained.
"You're also strictly informed when it's OK/not OK to take a photo"
Despite the stark differences between the country and his own, Taylor said that he wasn't there to judge with his photos, more to observe everyday life:
"It's easy to go into the country feeling certain about what is right and what is wrong," he said.
"I feel it's also unfair for me to pass judgment on what their life may be like. It's a different world with a different framework."
"When all that melts away, and you are able to see the substance in the humanity, it's amazing."
