Iggy Azalea, rapper / model / seemingly slightly crazy lady. We’re obsessed. This week Iggy released her new video for her single ‘Bounce’ which, from what we can tell, is largely about her bouncing her bum around. Here’s why we’re all talking about her…

1. She’s controversial

And not always in a good way. Iggy caused widespread uproar when she included the lyric ‘when the relay starts I’m a runaway slave master’ in one of her songs. She later released an extensive apology in which she said it was, ‘a tacky and careless thing to say’. Her new video – which is said to have been influenced by Bollywood films – has similarly got the blogging world talking about whether it is offensive to Indian culture.

2. She’s got an insane bottom

Move over Nicki Minaj there’s a new bottom in town. To say that Iggy’s bottom is impressive would be a TOTAL understatement in fact so impressive is it that you almost forget it has a whole human being attached to it.

3. She’s friends with the ‘in’ crowd

Of course she is. Iggy was photographed earlier this year hanging out with Nick Grimshaw and Harry Styles. She’s also been rumoured to be collaborating with Kanye West who has been working on his new album in Paris for the last few months. Well, he does like a woman with a large posterior.

4. She’s Australian but raps in an American accent

It’s slightly confusing if we’re being honest. You hear her talking and you think what a lovely Australian lady and then she’s rapping / shouting and she’s American.

5. She loves the Spice Girls

Awww, a girl after our own heart. When asked about who influenced her fashion style she said, ‘As far as people whose style interests me I'd say Grace Kelly, Gwen [Stefani], Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham and that nanny called Fran.’ Fran is not actually someone’s old nan but a woman on an American TV show.
