The Hills alumni and Made in Chelsea regular Stephanie Pratt has made some shocking revelations about life before reality TV stardom.

In her new memoir, Made in Reality (aptly titled considering she has now been the star of two massive reality shows) Stephanie revealed she battled drug problems, eating disorders and depression from the age of 14.

"I was 14 or 15 (when I first smoked crystal meth).... I was on the extreme level and addiction developed instantly. (I smoked) probably four times before school, then at snack... probably 12 or 13 times a day." she said in the book.

Stephanie added that during her period of addiction she also suffered from depression; "I didn't care about anything. I could live or die, I didn't care. I had nothing to get out of bed for, nothing was exciting."

She was also arrested for attempting to steal $4,000 worth of designer clothes: “I woke up handcuffed to a hospital bed. When I landed back in L.A., Mom took me back home and I went upstairs to my old bedroom and I felt so much shame."

After battling drug problems, Stephanie attended rehab in Texas and joined her brother Spencer Pratt on the MTV structured reality series The Hills in 2007.

But during her time on the show she developed bulimia as well as depression: "I lost about six pounds in two weeks but bulimia made my face very puffy so I freaked out and began going on crazy little diets, like I'd only eat Tic Tacs."

Thankfully Stephanie is now healthy and happy and enjoying life - and looking forward to her 30th birthday, according to an interview in New Magazine.
