And so it comes to an end. After four weeks of amazing (and admittedly terrible) football, Germany walked away triumphant from the World Cup Final last night after wunderkind Mario Gotze scored the only goal of the match in the 23rd minute of extra time. Even though England got knocked out early on (and the less said about that the better) we managed to keep our interest piqued thanks to the wonderful people of the internet who captured every back story and embarrassing moment that took place alongside the football to share with the world.
