What will the A-listers be eating?
Executive chef Troy N. Thompson (see picture) will be whipping up his 'Modern Waldorf Salad' followed by baked arctic char (it's a fish) and filet mignon. The main will come with tomato fondue, heirloom cherries and Tucson kale chip toppings. Sounds, er, delicious right? Vegies have the option of cannelloni and for desert cassis lemon cheesecake served with hazlenut dacquoise and salted caramel. Drool. Speaking about the menu the chef told People magazine: 'I feel like these dishes are a really nice way to showcase the fresh produce we always use here at the Beverly Hilton, and our great relationships with the farmers who grow it.'
What are the stats for the event?
Over 30,000 square feet of red carpet is being rolled out ahead of the big night, more than 9,000 glasses of champagne is drunk each year. A Golden Globe statue costs $800 to make and weighs 5.5lbs.
What's in the goody bags?
No-one walks away empty handed. All nominees receive a goody bag worth over $600. The girls will be gifted with a leather handbag with make-up and beauty products from brands like Gucci, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Bugatti, L'Oreal Paris, Rituals, Ross & Brown, and StriVectin. First things first, where can you watch the action? Well, if you're in the UK you can try streaming it online - otherwise E! will be hosting red carpet coverage from 11pm. It's late, but Sunday is the new Friday right?
Who will be presenting
While Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return to host the 71st awards show Robert Downey Jr, Salma Hayek, Kevin Hart and Kate Hudson are among those rumoured to be presnting winners with their awards.
Who's in the running?
We're not going to bore you with the entire list of nominees but what you need to know is that Grazia favourite Jennifer Aniston is up for her role in Cake. The Globes often predict who will win at the The Oscars so should Jen scoop a Globe it could indicate she's a shoo-in for an Acadmey Award. Could this be her year? Fun Fact: last year’s big Globe winners — Matthew McConaughey, Cate Blanchett and Alfonso Cuaron — all went on to pick up Oscars in the categories of lead actor, lead actress and best director respectively.
There's also plenty of Brit stars flying the flag the flag that we need to look out for too mainly dishy Eddie Redmayne for his portrayl of Stephen Hawking as well as Benedict Cumbersnatch for his role in the Imitation Game.
