You know how gifs are the best thing ever and they somehow know what we want to say before we’re even thinking it? Yeah you do. That’s why today marks the dawning of a brand new era in which the making of gifs is not limited to the mighty. Oh no.
The folks over at Giphy have made it dead easy for anyone to make them with their new gif maker. All you need to do is take your YouTube video of choice, pick the part you’d like to make into a gif – and the length – add an optional caption and you’re done! You can even upload your own video clips to make into gifs.
Now, I say this is a milestone for the human race, but that was until I realised that Imgur had totally got there first and launched their Video to GIF tool way back in January. Oh.
But who cares – the fact that we have two gif-making tools to choose from is nothing short of a miracle. Cancel your weekend plans, it’s time to make the thousands of gifs you’ve always wanted but never had.
