There has been a lot of speculation about the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel - will Jamie Dornan return? Who is going to be the director? When will it hit our screens?
Universal have just announced that Fifty Shades Darker will be released on February 10 2017 (close to Valentine's Day once again). The third film - Fifty Shades Freed - will then be released on 9 February 2018.
They have also released a first teaser image which shows a tuxedo-clad Jamie Dornan (yep, he's returning) putting on a black masquerade in the mirror.
Sam Taylor Wood said to Grazia Daily of casting Jamie next to Dakota: "With Jamie it wasn't what we expected. They came in together and just were roaring with laughter, being really silly, and trying to out-funny each other because they are both really funny people and I thought 'that's just perfect.' Actually it's also what this film needs, some more lightness to it."
Yesterday it was revealed that EL James' husband, Niall Leonard, will be the scriptwriter for the second film. “Niall is an outstanding writer in his own right, with multiple established credits,” wrote producer Michael De Luca, in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “We are lucky to have him join Team Fifty.”
