Facebook Are Tracking Which Websites You Visit, But There's A Hack To Stop It

You know when you’re scrolling through ASOS searching for the perfect mint green bag to go with your cream dress for a wedding (is that a thing, do people wear mint green and cream these days?!) and then the very same bag pops up in cookies on your Facebook feed? Or when you're stalking a friends new born baby and think 'oh okay i'll buy it a babygrow,' then three minutes later a Clear Blue advert pops up on your screen. It’s dead annoying, isn’t it. Like so annoying all you want to do is turn off the bloody things and never see another advert again. Well, you might actually be able to.

Apparently the reason Facebook know exactly what kind of advert to shove in our faces is because they’ve been focusing on improving ads both on and off it’s network. Which translates into they’ve been watching our every move on every website we visit. So if you check out ondirection.com on the regular, Facebook is on to you. Don’t freak out though, this is how you can turn it off.

1. Go to Facebook settings

You can do this on your phone, iPad or laptop – so many options.

2. Go over to that left side bar

And click on 'adverts'

3. Click on every single option

And tick NO. Unless you don’t want to change it that is

That's literally it. Au revior annoying Facebook ads, see you never.
