It feels like we can't go a week without a new hashtag related to odd body standards being bandied around on social media. First there was the thigh gap, then the bikini bridge and now #thighbrow is 'a thing'.

If you've been lucky enough not to spot the emerging social media trend, let us explain:

*thighbrow (noun): *A crease on the leg where the thigh connects to the hip, visible when wearing high-waisted swimwear or underwear. It's easiest showed off in a kneeling pose when leaning forward sticking out the butt, though can be seen when standing or lying with enough effort. So called because the arched lines look like eyebrows for your thighs.

This new leg fold phenomenon has even been given its own dedicated Instagram account, but is best evidenced by purveyors of all self-conscious social media trends: the Kardashian sisters.

Kylie Jenner is the biggest perpetrator, though her sisters Khloe and Kourtney also posed pictures of crouching thighbrow-flashing poses on their recent holiday to echo her efforts.

Now you know what it is, please don't rush to the nearest full-length mirror to check if you can create 'thighbrows', because frankly it's yet another inconsequential 'trend' which draws unnecessary attention to a part of your body you never even knew needed thought before. Also: wearing your briefs that high went out of fashion after the 80s, partly because it's so darn uncomfortable.

So if you see a thighbrow shot on Instagram, just keep scrolling.
