If your Sunday evenings haven’t been the same since the final episode of Downton Abbey aired eighteen months ago, we have some very glad tidings: a new, fully immersive exhibition is set to bring the world of the Crawley family to life.

Visitors to ‘Downton Abbey: The Exhibition’ will be taken on a journey through the Crawleys’ majestic home, encompassing both the aristocratic chambers ‘upstairs’ and the servants’ quarters below. They’ll be able to walk through some of the series’ most recognisable locations, from Mrs Patmore’s kitchen to the lavish drawing rooms.

Costumes worn by cast members including Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville and Dame Maggie Smith will also be on display, which promises to showcase never-before-seen footage and shine a light on the series’ historical context, spanning from before World War One right through to the roaring Twenties.

Downton Abbey is a global phenomenon and viewers all around the world continue to ask for more,’ said Michael Edelstein, President on NBCUniversal International Studios. ‘Downton Abbey: The Exhibition allows this incredible legacy to live on by offering a multi-million dollar museum quality experience that will delight fans, ultimately extending the connection they have with Downton’s compelling characters and storylines. We are excited to expand the brand in a manner that few TV series could ever dream of doing. ‘

The exhibition is set to tour the world, opening in Singapore on 17th June then travelling throughout the US in 2018 and beyond. Tickets for the Singapore leg have just gone on sale, available from www.marinabaysands.com with prices starting at S$30 for adults and S$15 for children (though British fans will have to factor the cost of a plane ticket into the equation...)

Further locations (including a UK stop-off) are yet to be confirmed, but in the meantime, you’ll find us practising our best Dowager Countess one liners.
