Today in new and inventive ways the internet has given ex-boyfriends to be worrisome nuisances, let's take a look at what happens when one logs into their ex-girlfriend's Amazon account and orders a bunch of stuff that says 'slut' on it.
That's exactly what Daniel Dennis Robinson, 24, from Liverpool, did to student Sarah Douce. The two met on Tinder but broke up after Daniel punched Sarah's bathroom door after a row back in February. Sarah says Daniel was 'controlling' and would make her prove where she was by sending him Snapchats.
A month later, in March, Sarah's mother recieved an email from Sarah's account detailing an Amazon order that Sarah didn't recognise. This included badges saying 'cheap and easy' and 'slut of the year' and a book called 'Sluts'.
Sarah reported the incident to the police and Daniel was arrested. He admitted to ordering the items but said he was drunk at the time. Which, as we all know, is a foolproof excuse to get out of stuff you wish you didn't do.
Sadly for Daniel, the police didn't look on his inebriated status. Nor his claims that Sarah had been 'cheating on him'. He was given a five year restraining order, 150 hours community service, and ordered to pay £200 in compensation, £85 in prosecution costs and £85 victim surcharge.
The badges cost £1.
Nice work Daniel.
