It's no secret that Donald Trump has a problem with women.
This is the man who famously bragged about "grabbing" women who caught his eye "by the pussy", and the leader who curtailed our reproductive rights surrounded by a roomful of men. He also joked to the Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar about a female reporter, "She has a nice smile on her face so I bet she treats you well."
And the American president was in fine fettle once again on a trip to Paris last week.
Touring the sights of the French capital on an official state visit, Trump decided it was an apt moment to tell Brigitte Macron, his French counterpart's wife, that she was "in such good shape". He then turned back to the French president Emmanuel Macron and remarked, "beautiful".
The in-shape comment may be an oblique reference to the fact that Brigitte, at 64, is 24 years older than her husband - the same age difference shared by 71-year-old Trump and Melania, who is 47.
No doubt Brigitte was bowled over by this completely unwarranted set of "compliments", which were caught on a live-stream video of the encounter broadcast on the French government's Facebook page.
The former drama teacher - who has mentored her husband closely throughout his bid to move into the Élysée Palace - was surely in need of a man with a vastly over-inflated ego to throw sleazy remarks at her, and reduce her to her looks.
And the rest of the world merely rolled its eyes, as Trump yet again objectified women in his usual ham-fisted manner.
But the folks over at footwear brand Reebok had a different response, and rather a brilliant one at that.
They decided to post a helpful infographic on Twitter that detailed exactly when it is and isn't appropriate to say to someone, "You're in great shape... beautiful":
The pithy riposte went down a storm on Twitter, and has over 100,000 likes and re-tweets at the time of writing.
Those who commented were divided as to whether Trump's remarks constituted polite flattery or harassment.
But we'd say any flyaway remark on physique is well out of line for a formal presidential encounter - and addressing the "beautiful" remark to Brigitte's husband is pure patronising misogyny.
Brigitte and Emmanuel have laughed off sexist speculation over the age-gap in their relationship, which has been rife ever since Emmanuel launched his presidential campaign earlier this year.
"If I was 20 years older than my wife, no one would have questioned it being a legitimate relationship," the president rightly told Le Parisien. "It’s only because my wife is 20 years older than me that people say it’s not tenable."
